Indication

An indication is a signal or sign that something may occur, or that an illness or disorder may be present. In the medical field, indications are screenable findings from physical signs and symptoms of a patient observed by the nursing staff. These indicators often indicate the presence of an underlying disease or issue which needs further investigation and treatment such as imaging studies or lab tests.

Instability

Instability describes the state of instability where there is no equilibrium between two opposing forces or states. In the case of medical instability this usually refers to conditions involving imbalances between different systems in the body--such as vital signs like heart rate and blood pressure--that create circumstances for hypotension or hypervolemia (too much fluid in circulation). These scenarios can be especially dangerous with sudden changes that lead to shock and other severe complications such as cardiac arrhythmias (irregular heartbeat) and even death.

Impingement

Impingement refers to a condition where one structure "impinges" on another due to compression from another part of the body, such as muscle spasms or bone deformities placing pressure on nerves or other sensitive tissues. It can result in pain, numbness, tingling sensations, weakness throughout affected areas, among other symptoms depending of course on the affected area and cause of impingement itself. Treatment for impingement typically involves addressing primary causes along with corrective therapies such as stretching exercises and/or physical therapy modalities including ultrasound or laser treatments.

Infection

Infection occurs when organisms invade our bodies causing damage to tissues and organs through the presence of pathogenic microbes such as bacteria, viruses and fungi among others; these are collectively known as pathogens. Infections can range from mild colds which last only a few days to more severe infections like pneumonia requiring hospitalization for proper care and treatment with antibiotics; some infections even require surgery if not addressed quickly enough before they become advanced. Symptoms related to infection include fever, chills, fatigue, headaches, nausea/vomiting among many others depending on type of infection involved; therefore it’s important to ensure any suspicious signs are addressed quickly by consulting your physician whenever possible so they could better assess situation properly at earliest possible opportunity before infections become more serious issues down road.
