What does IG mean in HEALTHCARE

Information Governance is a set of initiatives and activities designed to ensure that the proper control, management, and security of an organization's information assets. It typically includes strategies for collecting, using, storing and sharing data in accordance with established policies, regulations and laws.

Through implementing an effective Information Governance strategy, organizations are able to better manage their data by setting up clear guidelines on how data should be collected, stored and shared.
