Initiatives for Women is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering women by providing unique opportunities and resources. Our goal is to increase the representation and success of women in all areas of life, from education and business to politics and research. We strive to create safe spaces where women can develop their skills, build networks, and advocate for change.

There are many ways you can get involved with Initiatives for Women! We have volunteer opportunities available throughout the year such as helping with events and educational programs. You can also donate money or time to support our mission. Additionally, we encourage you to become an ambassador by spreading awareness about the mission of IFW, joining our online community, participating in fundraisers, or hosting activities that promote growth within the organization.

At Initiatives for Women, we believe every woman should be given the opportunity to reach her full potential. Through our work, we aim to bridge the gender gap in various fields including education, business, leadership roles, job promotion opportunities among other areas. We offer initiatives that focus on mentoring young girls in STEM fields while empowering them through career resources; programs that create pathways into technology fields; scholarships designed to provide financial aid support for higher education; advocacy campaigns; partnerships with companies promoting gender equality; and much more!

Initiatives For Women offers a variety of resources aimed at supporting women’s empowerment. We provide information on different types of scholarships available specifically for women who want to pursue higher education; access to mentorships from leading industry professionals; workshops and webinars designed to help build confidence; resources related to finding jobs/careers with greater pay equity; exclusive networking opportunities that increase visibility within industries where there may be fewer female voices being heard; counsel on how best to address challenges faced by working women; asset-building tools like access to financing sources such as micro-loans, grants etc., just name a few!

Absolutely! While IFW's main focus is supporting female empowerment initiatives we welcome male allies who are passionate about creating gender balanced organizations both internally and externally. Men have a crucial role in furthering gender equity by championing workplace policies that foster equal treatment and advocating for female candidates in leadership roles. We invite men locally and globally who want to join us in advancing our shared goals – fostering better economic security for all genders -​ join us!

Our team includes some amazing individuals from diverse backgrounds committed making real change on the status quo of gender inequity globally. Our founder Meera Shah worked tirelessly alongside her co-founder Shreya Arora bringing together the right people & resources necessary launching this now successful social enterprise back 2015.. Today Meera serves as Co-Executive Director while Shreya serves as Executive Director both based out of India but reaching millions around globe. Since then IFW's core team has grown exponentially over years & today works hand hand alongside talented industry partners & volunteers around world.

IFW has received many awards recognizing its impact internationally including being selected twice consecutively ​as recipients of National Sammaan Awards​ from Hon'ble President Ram Nath Kovind (JAN 2018 & 2019). In addition IFW was recognized as one The World's Top 10 Social Enterprises Chosen By The United Nations Global Compact Network India (UN GCNI) at earlier this year.
