What does IFKK mean in FEDERATION

The International Federation of Kyokushinkaikan Karate (IFKK) is a non-profit organization serving to promote and develop kyokushinkaikan karate and its activities all around the world. It is a federation of over 130 national Kyokushin organizations spread in more than 50 countries, aiming to build strong ties between all members, increase the public knowledge about kyokushin karate, and organize international tournaments.

Any individual or organization involved in Kyokushin Karate and that wishes to be part of this community can become a member of IFKK. All new members must provide their resume or documentation, as well as pay the yearly membership fee.

Being an IFKK member gives access to exclusive content such as articles on techniques, training tips, advice from experts, discounts on products related to kyokushinkaikan karate, courses with recognized instructors and certifications among other resources. Additionally, it allows you to actively participate in different competitions and events held by the federation.

Sparring is an important part of training kyokushin karate as it allows practitioners to test their skills against opponents in a safe environment while developing strategies for real combat scenarios. You will need at least one partner willing to practice with you; however, organized classes are also available which provide sparring partners during drills or supervised challenges without putting yourself nor your partner's safety at risk.

Tournaments are the most common way for practitioners of all skill levels including children -to test their skills against fellow martial artists from all corners of the world under uniform rules supervised by IFKK officials in order for everyone to have an optimal learning experience regardless of affiliation.

To take part on our tournaments participants must be registered members from either one national federation belonging to IFKK or directly through our organization itself paying a registration fee. Athletic uniforms mandatory depending on each tournament even if they don't represent a specific country federation which are recommended but not mandatory.
