The purpose of International Christian Fellowship at Columbia (ICFC) is to create an atmosphere where students from different backgrounds can come together, share their faith journey, build relationships with one another and ultimately deepen their walk with God through open dialogue and discussion. The community also offers opportunities for service projects that aim to bring healing and hope into the lives of those living on campus and around the world. What is ICFC?

ICFC is a vibrant community of Christian students, faculty, and staff at Columbia University who gather together for fellowship, growth, service and outreach. We are committed to helping one another build meaningful relationships with Jesus Christ.

Any student or faculty member from Columbia University can join ICFC. All are welcome regardless of prior faith background or level of belief.

Not at all - all our events are free unless otherwise specified.

We have an active online presence that includes a Facebook page featuring daily devotional thoughts, relevant news articles and other updates as well as an email newsletter sign up list that sends out members-only content such as podcasts, devotionals and reflections regularly. You're also more than welcome to reach out to any committee member directly via email if you have any questions or concerns that would best be addressed privately.

How are the members selected who serve on the committees and leadership teams within ICF?

Every year, current members vote for those they think would make excellent representatives for their peers during a general election period held in March/April each year (though other positions may become available throughout the year). The team then serves for twelve months until new elections are conducted again in the spring. Elections typically involve having a candidate present her/his platform before fellow members after which everyone votes by secret ballot — get involved!
