What does ALTP mean in TECHNOLOGY

The Arizona Learning Technology Partnership (ALTP) is a nonprofit organization that works to unify and advance the use of educational technology in the state of Arizona. ALTP serves as an intermediary between districts, schools, and educators to ensure that all students receive equitable access to digital resources and experiences.

The mission of ALTP is to expand access to learning opportunities, promote collaboration and innovation among education stakeholders, cultivate a statewide network of technology specialists, and bring together research-based practices that support the integration of quality technology into teaching and learning.

By connecting students throughout Arizona with instructional content aligned to their individual needs; providing ongoing professional development for district personnel on how to effectively utilize educational technology; helping teachers design lessons incorporating digital tools; creating a virtual community where school leaders can share ideas, stories, best practices, and trends related to educational technology; and collaborating with organizations outside of education to promote an understanding across society about the importance of having an advanced digital learning infrastructure.

Schools or districts located in the state of Arizona are eligible for presentations by ALTP staff members or collaborative projects with outside organizations. Additionally, teachers must have appropriate authorization from their local district’s superintendent before enrolling in any courses through ALTP’s online training platform.

Yes! Professional development workshops are available through various mediums such as face-to-face sessions, webinars, virtual meetings, or on-demand videos. A variety of topics related to effective technology integration for K-12 classrooms are offered each year by qualified trainers at no cost.

Yes! Technical support is available through email or by phone 6 days a week from 8am – 5pm MST. All requests must be directed through online form submissions on our website indicating which system(s) you need assistance with. Additionally, our online platform offers courses and trainings designed specifically for educators in K-12 settings including digital curriculum resources and best practices for integrating tech into instruction.

We offer a wide range of services including professional development workshops; direct consultation with schools or districts regarding student outcomes/data analysis; coordination and facilitation of cooperative projects between educational entities such as universities/colleges/institutions; product research & evaluation services; technical support & they training services; applications & Web access tests/demos; special initiative outreach programs like Digital Citizenship Day (offered annually); grant writing & management services; tailored curriculum programming in collaboration with partner institutions; creating awareness about emerging technologies relevant to education; cyber security awareness campaigns & trainings —and much more!

There are many ways you can get involved with our initiatives ranging from attending conferences & other events we host throughout the year (e.g., Educator Technology Exposition) or becoming a volunteer leader within your school district, volunteering your time at our regional offices or taking part in our online communities offering free mentoring sessions on various platforms like Twitter chats or Facebook groups etcetera.–all which can help spread awareness about the latest innovations happening within educational technology both locally & globally.
