Generally speaking, individuals require extensive leadership experience in management positions; knowledge in various areas such as budgeting, governance structures and regulations; familiarity with teaching practices; experience working with stakeholders including parents and alumni; excellent communication skills in order to connect with colleagues within their community; furthermore they must hold either an advanced degree in administration/education-related fields or have completed relevant courses related to managing higher learning institutions.
