Genetic Joyce Studies (GJS) is a form of literary criticism which uses genetic criticism, based on the principles of genetics, to analyze the various drafts of James Joyce’s works as they evolved over time. GJS seeks to understand the thought process behind Joyce’s creative practice by scrutinizing how he developed his ideas, concepts, and stories through multiple drafts before they became their final published forms.
