What does GISS mean in STUDENTS

The Governance Institute for Student Success (GISS) is devoted to helping public schools develop stronger governance and accountability structures in order to improve student outcomes. By providing resources such as training sessions, workshops, research projects, and more, GISS aims to enable collaboration between educators and communities while improving student success.

GISS's members include local school board members, superintendents, principals, school district administrators, teachers' unions presidents and other education stakeholders.
