The General Intensive Care Unit (GICU) is a specialised unit designed to provide intensive care and support to critically ill patients. It offers facilities, equipment and highly experienced staff to monitor and treat medical complications that require close observation or resuscitation.

The GICU provides comprehensive medical care for acutely ill patients who require multi-organ support and monitoring in order to stabilise their condition. Treatment may include artificial ventilation, dialysis, hemodynamic monitoring, nutritional support and intensive supportive therapy.
