What does GCCB mean in MUSIC

The Gloucester Charter Concert Band (GCCB) is a community band based in Gloucester, Massachusetts. We aim to provide our members with an opportunity to exercise their musical talent and perform live in front of audiences around New England.

GCCB usually performs multiple times throughout the year. Our performances are typically held during the summer months and at various public venues throughout Cape Ann area.

Interested musicians can share their application form on our website for our attention, or attend one of our rehearsals on Wednesday nights at 7pm at Magnolia New Church Hall. Rehearsals are open and free to all members of the public who wish to join us.

Being part of GCCB is absolutely free! However, we do appreciate any donations from generous individuals who wish to support us in continuing to make great music together.

No prior experience is necessary for joining GCCB; however, it helps if you have some prior knowledge in playing an instrument or reading music notation before attending our rehearsals.

No – auditions are not required as all interested musicians will be welcomed into the ensemble regardless of their skill level once membership applications have been accepted by the committee.

Yes! While most of our performances take place within Massachusetts and its surrounding areas, we also play regularly across state lines within nearby states such as Connecticut and Rhode Island throughout the year.

Yes - We welcome all interested musicians regardless if they have an instrument with them or not, as we always try to accommodate everyone’s individual needs when attending rehearsals and during performances.
