What does FWA mean in AWARDS & MEDALS

The Favorite Website Award (FWA) is an international award that celebrates innovative website design, functionality and creativity. It recognizes websites that meet high standards of excellence in design, content, innovation and overall user experience.

Any organization or individual can apply for the FWA provided their website meets the criteria outlined on our website.

The FWA awards ceremony takes place twice a year in January and July.

There is no cost to join the FWA, as we do not accept financial contributions or donations of any kind.

Websites must be interactive, engaging, innovative and show evidence of high-level thinking and creative execution. To be eligible for a nomination, sites must also demonstrate excellence in accessibility; mobile responsiveness; usability; search engine optimization (SEO); web standards compliance; performance; originality; interactivity; visual design; and content delivery. There isn’t one particular type of website or industry that is most likely to win an FWA award as nominees come from all over the world with vastly different subject matter, design styles and feature sets. However, those nominated typically demonstrate outstanding creativity and innovation as well as effective use of user experience (UX) techniques such as interactivity, dynamic navigation systems and animations.

Yes! Winners are awarded a certificate of recognition along with access to our promotional services such as press releases, social media advertising campaigns, SEO boosts and more! Additionally, each winner will also receive a unique “Winner” badge which may be featured on their website.

Yes you can! Each site must be submitted separately however via our online submission form found on our website.
