What does FSB mean in UNCLASSIFIED

FSB stands for Fisheries Sampling Branch. We are a subsection within the Fisheries and Oceans Canada department responsible for collecting and analyzing data related to fisheries in Canadian waterways.

FSB collects and analyzes data on fish stocks, habitat conditions, catches by fishers, and other information that helps managers set sustainable catch limits. We also study the impacts of climate change on fisheries and aquatic ecosystems, work with stakeholders to ensure their needs are considered when making decisions, and provide scientific advice to support management decisions.
