What does FRI mean in FOOD & NUTRITION

The Food Research Institute (FRI) is an applied research and communication organization dedicated to modernizing the food system. Our focus is on developing better understanding, taking risks, building capacity and creating networks to ensure that all people have access to safe, healthy, affordable, nutritious and sustainable.

The FRI works to advance and develop evidence-based solutions to improve our food system. Through research projects we explore how food policy, dietary practices, farm production systems or supply chain dynamics can be improved to support more equitable and sustainable food systems. We also provide public education programming on topics such as health benefits of specific foods or alternative trade policies for food ingredients.
