What does AHLA mean in LAW & LEGAL

The American Health Lawyers Association (AHLA) is a national organization that provides education, research, and networking opportunities for lawyers in health law. The organization has over 20,000 members dedicated to improving healthcare and developing legal principles that promote wellness and innovation. AHLA also works to shape the laws and regulations that govern health care providers, insurers, pharmaceutical companies, and other players in the health care field.

AHLA has its headquarters located in Washington D.C., but members can join from anywhere around the country. Additionally, regional offices of AHLA are located around the United States.

Any lawyer practicing or interested in health law can join AHLA as either an individual member or through a group membership. Many employers such as hospitals, universities and government agencies offer group memberships to their employees. Additionally, students enrolled in degree programs related to health law may be eligible for discounted membership fees.
