What does FHF mean in FOUNDATIONS

The Finally Home Foundation (FHF) is a non-profit organization that works to provide housing, supportive services, and other resources to homeless families in our community. FHF provides support for families facing financial crisis, mental health issues, substance abuse, physical disability or mobility needs. The organization also strives to build and strengthen local neighborhoods by building affordable housing for those in need.

FHF provides a variety of services to homeless families including shelter referral assistance, short and long-term supportive housing placements, case management services, and access to affordable rental units. Additionally FHF offers assistance with life skills development, job training/placement programs, education programs, as well as recreational activities for children.

We are very grateful for any donations that we receive! We primarily accept monetary donations but we also accept donated gift cards from approved retailers such as Walmart or Target. Donors can also contribute essential household items including kitchenware, bedding items such as blankets and sheets, furniture pieces such as dining room tables or desks.

Absolutely! FHF welcomes passionate volunteers who want to make a difference in their community. We have one-time projects such as painting houses or refurbishing furniture for our clients’ homes as well as long-term opportunities like tutoring teens or providing counseling services. Our clients benefit from increased access to educational and employment opportunities through our partnering organizations such as job training/placement programs and educational scholarships. Clients also gain skills essential for self-sufficiency through individualized case management plans as well as life skills workshops offered by partner agencies. Finally Home is dedicated to helping our clients establish safe and sustainable housing options within our communities.

The amount of time an individual spends enrolled in the program depends on many factors including their personal circumstances and progress made towards achieving key goals set out during their initial assessment. Generally speaking though most participants remain enrolled until they are able to move into stable housing arrangements independently.
