What does FCLL mean in FORESTRY

Forest City Little League (FCLL) is a youth baseball and softball organization dedicated to developing, promoting, and protecting young athletes in the greater Cleveland area. We are affiliated with Little League Baseball Incorporated, the largest youth sports organization in North America.

Registering your children for FCLL is an easy two-step process. First, you can complete our online registration form. After that, you need to submit payment either via mail or online. All payments must be received by the deadline listed on our website.

FCLL offers a variety of developmental programs for all skill levels including instructional leagues, travel teams and club teams for both baseball and softball. We also offer camps and clinics throughout the year to help players perfect their skills.

Practices take place at various fields throughout the greater Cleveland area; specific locations depend on the age level of the player/team as well as availability of field space at each location. Leagues will typically use whatever field is most accessible and convenient for their participants.

Games vary depending on the league/program your child participates in; however, most leagues generally play one game per week that usually takes place on weekends (either Saturdays or Sundays). Many leagues also have extra practice days during the weeks preceding big tournaments or playoffs if necessary.

Yes! FCLL provides uniforms for all registered players upon registration, which includes a jersey, pants, socks and a matching cap or visor (for baseball). In addition to providing uniforms, we also offer additional spirit wear items such as sweatshirts and other fan apparel which can be purchased separately through our store.

Most of the required equipment will be provided by FCLL; however there are certain pieces of gear that you may wish to consider purchasing if your child is serious about playing ball. These items include a batting helmet with face mask (mandatory), glove (optional), cleats (optional), bat (if desired) and any other protective gear they may feel comfortable wearing while playing.

Tryouts are not mandatory but may be held depending on program guidelines outlined by each individual league or team manager in order to properly evaluate players before forming rosters/teams. Generally speaking, most leagues hold open registration where anyone interested in playing sports can register without having tryouts first.

Absolutely! Volunteering with FCLL is a great way to get involved with your community while helping ensure our athletes receive top-notch instruction and mentorship throughout their athletic journey. Volunteers can assist with coaching teams, managing field scheduling and many other positions available within our organization.
