Topography

The primary feature of FATC is its rugged mountain peaks, which are the highest in the region. These mountains form three distinct ridges that stand up to 6,000 feet above sea level. The tallest peak is Queen Mary's Peak, which reaches 8,200 feet high and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area. In addition to the mountains, there are also several other islands in the archipelago including Gough Island, Nightingale Island, Inaccessible Island, Middle Island, Stoltenhoff Island, Edwards Point/Possession Isles, Black Rocks/ Sisters Islands and several smaller ones.
