The Food and Resource Exchange (FARE) is a leading non-profit organization committed to providing food-insecure households with relief from hunger. FARE works in partnership with private corporations, foundations, faith-based organizations and individuals dedicated to alleviating hunger in communities across America.

FARE employs a holistic approach to tackle hunger by using a three-pronged strategy that includes public policy initiatives, community outreach programs, and direct assistance services. These components work together to provide an integrated solution which helps families access nutritious meals while increasing access to resources that lead to long-term stability.

Programs offered by FARE are available to all families who qualify under income guidelines established by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). In addition, all members of society can benefit indirectly through improved public policies such as increased funding for school lunches or SNAP benefits for working poor families.

Through the generous donations from corporate partners and other sources, FARE has access to nutritious foods like fresh produce, boxed goods, and pantry staples that are fit for human consumption but may be at risk for disposal due to its short shelf life or packaging issues. We are proud that 75% of every dollar raised goes directly towards our core mission — bringing food security solutions into homes struggling with hunger nationwide! As an added measure we also have internal controls that limit administrative expenses so that 95% of total revenues go directly towards programming efforts or operational expenses supporting our mission statement - 'No one should ever have to go hungry'.
