What does AGF mean in FEDERATION

AGF stands for American Grappling Federation. It is an organization that promotes the sport of grappling in the US by hosting tournaments and providing a platform for competitors to compete on a national level.

AGF hosts tournaments several times throughout the year, usually every other month. Additionally, there are special events such as Annual National Championships, Super Showdowns, Grand Prix events, and more that occur annually or biannually.

There are many ways you can get involved with AGF! You can compete in their tournaments either as an amateur or professional grappler, volunteer at events as a referee or scorekeeper, or become a sponsor of the organization. You can also join the fan club and follow their social media pages to stay up-to-date with news and events.

Any amateur competitor aged 18 years or above who has never competed professionally is eligible to compete in AGF tournaments. Professional athletes from any region are also welcome to register and compete as well as teams representing various schools, academies, gyms, etc.

In addition to ‘All Belts' divisions for adults (18+), teens (13-17) and kids (4-12), there are divisions available for beginners/novice competitors as well as Open class divisions for those competing at a higher level of experience. Some specific weight classes may be offered depending on tournament demand and availability.
