What is ESP?

Extra Sensory Perception (ESP) is a term used in psychology which describes the purported ability to acquire knowledge or awareness about an event that cannot be inferred through normal sensory perception or logical deduction. Examples of this include premonitions of future events, telepathy (ability to read another person’s thoughts), and clairvoyance (ability to gain information about distant places without physically travelling there). Some people also believe that ESP can help them develop their intuition, allowing them access to ideas and insights outside the range of normal experience. It is believed that these abilities are potentially accessible to everyone but must be developed through practice.

Uses & Applications

In certain scientific circles, studies are conducted into the potential applications of Extra Sensory Perception. One such example involves remote viewing - using ESP-like abilities as a tool for gathering information at a distance without physical travel. Remote viewers may attempt to gain insight into covert military operations or natural disasters for instance. Other areas of research include reincarnation studies, analyzing premonitory dreams, astrology, healing methods, poltergeists activity and paranormal phenomena in general. However, due to lack of evidence confirming its existence, most scientists still do not accept ESP as a legitimate phenomenon.
