Action for Sustainability (AFS) is a global movement working to protect vulnerable communities and the planet's future by creating an equitable and sustainable world today.

AFS works at the grassroots, regional and national levels to advance the principles of sustainability and build resilient communities. This includes providing support for financing climate resilience projects in developing countries, as well as providing research and resources to promote sustainable development practices locally.

AFS was founded in 2002, with its headquarters opening in 2004 in Washington DC. Since then, it has grown into one of the leading organizations working towards a more sustainable future through community empowerment initiatives and policy advocacy.

Since its founding in 2002, AFS has successfully implemented numerous climate-resilience projects around the world. In addition, they have supported over 20 million people through education programs on energy efficiency, food security, climate change adaptation and natural resource management in over 35 countries since their inception.
