What does AFIA mean in ACADEMIC & SCIENCE

The Academy for Integrated Arts (AFIA) is a non-profit organization that has been established to prepare youth in our communities with the tools, education and support they need to become successful young leaders. The academy provides innovative education programs ranging from personal development and life skills to career exploration and higher education access. AFIA strives to equip students with the knowledge, experience, and practical skills needed to pursue their dreams and create positive outcomes for themselves, their families, and their communities.

Joining the Academy for Integrated Arts will give you an opportunity to access quality education programs that can help you develop your personal skills as well as gain practical experience. Through our various activities we strive to empower young people with tools that will allow them to make informed decisions about their life's path. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to explore career paths and find mentors who can guide you through your journey.

The academy offers a variety of activities designed to positively influence young people’s lives. These include - but are not limited to - seminars on professional success; individualized coaching sessions; hands-on workshops related to job search, interview techniques, resume writing; college admissions prep; entrepreneurship skill development; financial literacy workshops; volunteer opportunities; leadership training programs; and career exploration projects.
