What does AFFP mean in FEDERATION

American Football is a sport played by two teams of 11 people on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. The offense, or the team with the ball, attempts to advance the ball down the field and score points by crossing the goal line into the end zone or kicking the ball through the goal posts. The defense tries to stop them from doing this.

Each team has its own version of how to move the ball downfield and score, known as their offensive playbook. The basics involve one player (the quarterback) throwing or handing off the football to another player in order to advance it downfield towards their opponent’s end zone. Meanwhile, on defense, players attempt to tackle their opponents and prevent them from gaining yards.

The American Football Federation of the Philippines (AFFP) is a national organization devoted to promoting American football in all parts of Philippines through development initiatives such as youth programs, coach certification courses, referee training and other related activities.

AFFP hosts various events throughout each year such as tournaments, clinics and camps for players & coaches of all ages; seminars & workshops for officials; special charity & fundraising events; as well as social gatherings & networking opportunities for everyone involved in American football in any capacity.

Anyone who has an interest in learning about, playing or working with American football can join AFFP! Players, coaches, referees and any other interested individuals are welcome to join us in developing this sport and helping it grow in popularity across all levels of Philippine society.

There is no minimum age requirement for joining AFFP but anyone under 18 must have written parental consent before they can participate in any official activity that we host.

There are no fees associated with becoming a member of AFFP however there may be costs associated with certain activities that we host such as tournaments and camps which require payment onsite either prior or during participation depending on the event being attended.

Not having any experience doesn’t mean you cannot become part of our organization! We provide various resources including coaching courses and referee training programs so that anyone interested can learn more about American football even if they have never played before or lack any previous knowledge about this sport.

Yes - All members must abide by our code of conduct which outlines expectations within our organization regarding sportsmanship and behavior both on and off-the-field while representing our group at any event hosted by us or attended by members as part of official business along with other regulations regarding equipment usage and apparel selection etc..
