What does EC mean in MEDICAL

EC stands for Extenuating Circumstances. It is a process by which an individual can have their academic standing or requirements reviewed due to unusual and unavoidable circumstances.

An EC review should be requested if there are extraordinary, unavoidable circumstances that may have impacted the student's academic performance. Examples of such situations include serious illness, death in family, or medical emergency.

An appeal does not guarantee any specific outcome and ultimately it is up to the reviewing body to decide what is best for each case individually.

Unfortunately, appeals cannot be resubmitted but if additional information arises after filing your appeal then additional documents can be provided to support your claim on reconsideration.
