What does EBDA mean in ASSOCIATIONS

The Egyptian Bio Dynamic Association (EBDA) is a non-profit organization that works to promote the principles of bio-dynamic agriculture and the sustainable use of natural resources in Egypt. This includes working with farmers, training them in sustainable agricultural practices, and providing ongoing technical support and research activities. EBDA also works to increase public awareness about bio-dynamics through conferences, workshops, seminars, and other educational events.

The goals of the EBDA are to encourage the adoption of bio-dynamic agriculture as a viable alternative for sustainable food production in Egypt; to empower smallholder farmers in developing integrated eco-farming systems; and to build effective partnerships with government agencies, development organizations, universities, research institutions, NGOs and other stakeholders.

EBDA offers a range of services including technical advice on crop selection and management; assistance in obtaining suitable inputs such as organic seeds, fertilizers and compost; promotion of farm planning methods; professional training programs for farmers interested in learning more about bio-dynamic farming techniques; monitoring and evaluation studies; participatory research projects; dissemination of publications related to bio-dynamics; events aimed at raising public awareness about bio-dynamics; and outreach activities aimed at informing policy makers about beneficial environmental practices.

There are several ways you can get involved with EBDA! You can participate in our various events like conferences, workshops or seminars to learn more about bio-dynamic agriculture. You can become a member which involves paying dues but will gain you access to benefits such as discounts on products or services associated with EABC activities or promotions. Additionally, if you have experience with farming or agricultural education you may be eligible to volunteer your time by providing trainings or helping out with one of our many outreach activities. Yes! The EBDA offers certificate courses that equip students with knowledge on organizational management tools as well as prepare them for leading positions within companies related to Bio Dynamics in general. Additionally we offer short courses on topics such as land restoration technologies which focus on giving an overall understandings on conservation farming practices. Certification courses involve exams at the end which students must pass before receiving their certificate upon completion.

The EBDA conducts participatory research projects on topics related to bio-dynamics such as seed saving techniques, soil fertility management strategies, watershed conservation models etc., which aim at improving existing production systems while keeping nature's principles intact. Additionally we collaborate closely with local universities on agroecological research initiatives that study topics like biodiversity conservation methods or economic value chain analysis among others.

Funds collected by EABC go mainly towards administrative expenses associated with running day-to-day operations but they also contribute directly towards different outreach initiatives where we organize trips aimed at promoting an appreciation for nature amongst young people as well as our farmer training program which allows us to reach out more effectively rural areas all over Egypt.

Donations towards EABC activities can be made either through bank transfers directly into our account or through cheque/cash payments depending on what suits you best! Yes! We welcome volunteers from around the world who share our passion for organic agriculture and sustainable living solutions. Volunteers should ideally have some experience working either directly with farmers or within environmentally focused organizations but those without experience are still welcomed provided they bring a strong work ethic along! We offer various opportunities ranging from teaching English classes locally in rural communities up until large scale hands-on field projects involving thousands!
