What does AFA mean in ALLIANCES

The Aerospace Futures Alliance (AFA) is an international network of aerospace research establishments, universities and companies that promote collaboration in the technical and scientific solutions related to next generation aviation.

The primary aim of AFA is to enable global cooperation between institutions and individuals with a shared interest in advancing the aerospace industry, by providing a platform for networking, information exchange, and collaborative research.

AFA includes global aerospace organizations such as governments, academies, institutions, universities, private companies, suppliers and manufacturers within the field.

Through activities such as conferences and symposiums as well as special projects such as Mobility Workshops Events or Redefining Aeronautical Learning Platforms (REALP), AFA provides a common platform for organizations to communicate their ideas on advanced technology initiatives and build networks with partners that can help bring cutting-edge products to the market.

Organizations can join AFA by submitting an application via their website or attending one of their events. Organizations will then be evaluated based on criteria such as capabilities, innovation potential/contributions etc. Once accepted as members they will have access to resources from other members including but not limited to training sessions, plans/programmes etc., they can also participate in special projects conducted by the alliance which lead towards shared outcomes.
