What does DTA mean in TENNIS

The Dallas Tennis Association (DTA) is a non-profit organization that was founded in 1954 to promote and develop the game of tennis in North Texas. Through a variety of programs, camps, clinics, leagues, and events we foster camaraderie among players of all ages and skill levels.

The Dallas Tennis Association is located at Tenison Park in East Dallas. Our physical address is 3500 S. Pine Ave., Dallas TX 75215.

Yes! DTA offers a variety of adult classes to suit all skill levels. We have beginner classes for those just starting out as well as more advanced classes for seasoned players looking to improve their game. All classes are taught by experienced coaches who can tailor instruction to your needs.

Yes! DTA offers a wide range of youth classes from introductory level lessons for young beginners through advanced training courses for tournament-level players. Our experienced coaches focus on developing motor skills, agility, match play strategy, and overall technique.

DTA’s classes typically last an hour and a half each week for eight weeks or more depending on the program being offered. We also arrange opportunities for private lessons and special events throughout the year if desired.

No! Membership is not required to participate in our programs as class fees cover the cost of court rental and coaching services; however there are discounts available exclusively for members which may be appealing if you plan on attending regularly or participating in tournaments with us.

No! We offer class programming for people of all ages - from toddlers up through seniors - so everyone interested in learning or improving their game can join us regardless of age.

Yes! Proper tennis attire including closed toe shoes should be worn when playing on our courts or attending any instructional sessions with coaches – no sandals or flip-flops please! Furthermore we ask that shirts remain tucked in at all times while on court and collars must face forward both during play and instruction.

No! Outside food/beverages are strictly prohibited on all areas used by the association unless specifically prepared by association staff (i.e picnic area). Please help us keep our courts clean by disposing trash properly when finished playing.

Yes! Members receive access to our calendar of social events including potluck BBQs, holiday parties, interclub competitions, watch parties (match screenings), etc… Plus discounted rates on additional activities like lessons with our professional staff & entry fees into local tournaments supported by the association.
