What does DSEC mean in ENGINEERING

DSEC stands for Dayton Service Engineering Collaborative. DSEC is a collaborative effort between city and county government, and local universities in Dayton, Ohio to promote economic development through service engineering. It seeks to create and support an environment that encourages the research, commercialization, innovation and use of technology in areas such as smart cities, connected vehicles, and digital health.

By working together to create a strong regional network of resources focused on service engineering, DSEC will help develop the region’s economy through job creation, high-tech businesses startups, new products and services. Additionally, it will improve the quality of life by providing access to innovative solutions created from local talent.

Currently, DSEC supports projects related to Smart Cities (connecting people with services easily), Connected Vehicles (helping drivers find parking spots and reduce traffic congestion), Digital Health (enhancing patient care through data driven decision making) as well as other technologies related to these areas.

There are various ways you can become involved with the DSEC program. You can apply for one of our open positions or internships; volunteer at events or meetings; attend one of our informational sessions; or join our mailing list for updates on upcoming activities. Additionally you can participate in our project based collaboration initiatives that match local businesses with organizations needing help from experts in service engineering.

The members of the DSEC team come from all different backgrounds including industry professionals like engineers or product designers; university faculty members; public servants such as city planners or state workers; entrepreneurs looking to launch new businesses; educators wanting to bring their ideas into classrooms; students interested in getting hands-on experience in their field; and citizens passionate about creating a better future for Dayton. All who share an interest in promoting economic growth through service engineering are welcome!

Through workshops and seminars organized by both industry experts and academia partners, tools such as business incubators and acceleration programs, grant opportunities geared towards advancing technological innovations,and regular networking events featuring guest speakers providing insight into topics like data science, connected vehicles,or digital health -DSEC provides several avenues for individuals looking for specialized support along their journey towards launching successful products or services.

While we cannot guarantee any particular level funding beyond what has already been made available through existing grants on our website – becoming part of the growing network of volunteers’ experts, attending informational sessions,and utilizing other resources allows you stay informed about potential funding sources should your project fit within our scope.
