What does DLSC mean in LAW & LEGAL

The purpose of the Delivery of Legal Services Committee (DLSC) is to promote access to justice in the United States. It does this by pushing policy initiatives, developing technological solutions and exploring best practices for increasing access to legal services in underserved communities.

The committee consists of lawyers from all areas of practice, professors from law schools, public interest advocates and technology professionals. All have an interest in finding ways to improve access to justice for those who may not be able to afford it or who are otherwise unable to obtain representation.

DLSC promotes access through a variety of methods such as proposing legislation and regulations that would give greater access and protection for vulnerable populations; creating technological solutions such as online forms or automated systems; working with local courts and organizations on how they can better provide legal assistance and support; and conducting research into best practices that can be adopted by different groups across the country.
