Drillsearch Energy Ltd. is an Australian based oil and gas exploration and production company. It operates in the Cooper Basin in South Australia and New South Wales, and manages large onshore gas reserves in the Sydney Basin.

Drillsearch Energy provides a comprehensive suite of services for customers, from exploration to production of oil and gas assets. We offer high quality drilling services with specialized equipment, advanced technological expertise, access to specialist networks and personnel, and extensive operational experience.

Drillsearch primarily explores for conventional oil and gas fields located within sedimentary basins across southern Australia, such as the Cooper Basin in South Australia and New South Wales. We also have interests in unconventional shale resources located in the Surat Basins of Queensland and Northern Territory.

Our operations are organized into three business groups; Exploration & Appraisal, Production & Development, and Technical Services. Within each business group our teams manage activities ranging from geological fieldwork through to well drilling, pipeline construction, oil & gas sales contracts management, 3D seismic data acquisition & processing.

Drillsearch was established in 2003 with its primary focus being exploration for hydrocarbon resources within basins across Australia. With over fifteen years’ experience behind us we are now recognised as one of Australia’s leading energy companies.

We currently hold interests in two offshore concessions off the coast of Northern Territory (NT); NT-44-P2 (Jerae) Offshore Concession Pty Ltd., which holds a 6% interest; NT-49-R1 Licence Pty Ltd., which holds a 16% interest; both operated by Santos Limited.

Yes we do; at Drillsearch we take seriously our commitment to protecting the environment. As part of our operations we conduct comprehensive environmental assessments including water discharges monitoring programs as well as monitoring local flora & fauna populations effects due to operation activities.

All our production sites are inspected regularly by independent third party safety assessors who ensure that strict health and safety standards are being adhered to in all areas of operation including staff work practices & conditions.

At Drillsearch we believe that supporting our local communities is important. For this reason we have developed a Community Investment Program dedicated to supporting not-for-profit organisations near to where we operate which aim to improve skills base education opportunities or promote cultural heritage initiatives.
