The group has since grown to over 1000 members across Hampshire, with branches in Drayton, Farlington, Havant Borough Council, Portsmouth City Council and other areas of the South East of England. Over the years DFAG has campaigned on various environmental issues including airport expansion plans at both Southampton Airport and Bournemouth International Airport; protecting green belts from inappropriate development; supporting renewable energy initiatives; campaigning against fracking; opposing new road building proposals; seeking better public transport links; promoting cycling routes; fighting for rights for cyclists; campaigning against animal cruelty, animal testing or animal trade bans; tackling food waste issues; raising awareness about climate change and much more.
