What does ADO mean in MILITARY

The mission of ADO is to increase the speed, scope, and efficacy of digitization across the Army by helping them adopt digital technologies and processes in order to modernize operations and maximize efficiency.

ADO provides a variety of services such as providing technical guidance on cyber security protocols, developing training programs for digital leaders, coordinating technology acquisition projects, and aiding decision-makers in leveraging data analytics for better decision making.

The Army Deputy Chief Management Officer is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations at ADO. Additionally, it receives guidance from the Executive Steering Committee chaired by the Deputy Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment who works out strategies with other stakeholders within US Military departments who are supportive or opposed to initiatives proposed by ADO.

By utilizing cutting edge technology solutions, implementing effective strategies developed through data analytics, and providing resources such as training programs designed to help military personnel stay ahead in their domain knowledge; ADO helps those serving in the military make smarter decisions faster with minimal cost risk.

The Army Digitization Office was established in 2018 with a mandate to accelerate digitization across all domains of the US Army. Since then it has grown steadily with increased support from stakeholders both inside and outside of government ensuring that they have access to best resources available.
