The Australian Duct Manufacturers Alliance was founded in 1994 by seven leading air conditioning duct providers – Airo Protection Pty Ltd, Airtech Fabrications Pty Ltd, NSW Ministry of Commerce Trade & Industry (NSWMOCTI), Integrated Textiles International Ltd, Van Vuuren Engineering Pty Ltd, Southern Air Systems Pty Ltd and Johnson Heating & Cooling Technologies Pty Ltd. Since then it has grown significantly with over 250 members including different companies from throughout Australia. These members are involved in many areas of manufacturing such as aluminium fabrication, plastic injection moulding, sheet metal fabrication and more. One key element that binds all members is their commitment to produce high-quality products through the use of advanced technologies and rigorous testing protocols.

Objectives

The primary objectives of the Australian Duct Manufacturers Alliance are to promote professionalism within the duct manufacturing industry; maintain records which accurately reflect the standard practices employed by the members; provide training opportunities for those wishing to enter or advance within the field; monitor current regulations regarding safety; and lobby for improved safety standards where appropriate.
