Who can join CYCS?
Students age ranging from 8 to 18 who live or study in the Greater Bay Area (CA, NV, AZ, HI), with passion in Chinese music and the ability to play an instrument are welcome to audition for admission into CYCS’s training programs.
Are there any fees associated with joining CYCS?
Yes. There is a one-time registration fee of $30 per student for the entire year plus an annual tuition fee of $500 per student which covers all of our educational activities for that year. Other expenses may include ensemble uniform fees, private lesson fees, trips, etc.
Are scholarships available for students joining CYCS?
Yes. We offer a limited number of need-based scholarships every year on a rolling basis starting in late March each year. Scholarships provide varying levels of support including full and partial tuition waivers as well as discounts on private lesson fees and uniform fees.

No. You can play any string instruments or percussion instruments with us regardless of what type it is or how many you desire.
