What does AACE mean in ASIAN

The Asian American Coalition for Education (AACE) is an organization founded in 2014 to promote fairness and equity in education for Asian American students through legislative advocacy, grassroots mobilization and legal action. We are committed to protecting the civil rights of our community and empowering our youth to become leaders in their own right.

AACE advocates on behalf of our community on issues including, but not limited to, school discipline inequities, access to college admissions resources, higher education access and affordability, bias incidents against Asian Americans, and curriculum reform that responsibly portrays the history and contributions of all groups in our society.

There are many ways to get involved with AACE! You can volunteer with us at our events or help out behind the scenes by donating your time and skills. You can also join one of our committees or chapters or sign up as a sustaining monthly donor to provide ongoing support for our mission.

AACE supports diversifying student populations in educational institutions by advocating for an inclusive environment that balances the educational needs of students from different backgrounds while still providing equal access and opportunity for all students regardless of race or ethnicity. We also recognize the importance of strengthening institutional efforts aimed at leveling out existing disparities caused by persistent racism and inequality.

AACE works towards ensuring fairness in education by engaging communities across the country through policy advocacy, campaigns, research projects, community outreach efforts, coalitions building initiatives with other organizations both domestic and international alike who share similar missions. Additionally we partner with universities to assist them in taking proactive approaches towards creating diverse learning environments which promote academic excellence amongst all students regardless of background performance data used within college admissions processes across America.

Yes! At present we are advocating for a number of policy initiatives that impact Asian American students including social media literacy training programs targeting cyberbullying prevention among minors; introducing more culturally responsive curricula into K-12 schools; supporting underrepresented minorities applying to college; improving mental health services available at higher education institutions; establishing joint-college career pathways; providing virtual internships opportunities; promoting mentorship programs between high schools/colleges & universities.
