The Callist Symphonic Wind Orchestra (CSWO) is an integral part of the local music community in COMMUNITY. Founded in 2012 by professional composer/conductor Mr Bulut Onder Ozkan, CSWO is now one of the most well-known community music ensembles in the region with over 30 members consisting of woodwinds, brass and percussion instruments. The main goal of the orchestra is to encourage young people to explore their talents and passions for music while introducing them to classical works usually heard only on symphonic stages. Through its weekly rehearsals, workshops, masterclasses as well as local performances around COMMUNITY and beyond, CSWO has been able to provide a platform for these young performers to unleash their creative energy and learn from experienced mentors alike.
