What does CSSN mean in CANADIAN

The Canadian Safe School Network (CSSN) is a national charity that provides resources and education to equip schools, communities, and individuals with the skills and knowledge to create safe, inclusive and respectful learning environments.

CSSN works directly with K-12 schools across Canada to provide comprehensive programming focused on universal strategies for prevention, bullying intervention and educational supports. We offer workshops, seminars and online resources that focus on the social-emotional development of students, staff and parents.

There are a number of ways you can get involved in promoting safety at your school or in your community. We encourage all members of our communities to join us in creating healthier school climates by participating in our initiatives such as Student Leadership Councils or Community Conversations series. Absolutely! We host regular events throughout the year where experts come together to share innovative approaches to foster safer learning environments for young people around the country. Additionally, we host conferences every two years as part of our international leadership program which gives people an opportunity to meet like minded individuals committed towards eliminating violence in education settings.

Yes! CSSNs long term vision is to ensure equitable access for all children regardless of socio-economic status so through generous sponsorships from donors we are able to provide partial scholarships for those needing financial assistance for programs/events hosted by us or our partners.
