What does ACWR mean in CAMPUS

ACWR stands for Americans Committed to World Responsibility. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for a more equitable, prosperous, and secure world through education, advocacy, research and dialogue. Our mission is to empower individuals from all backgrounds and ages with the knowledge, skills and support they need to make an impact in their communities and beyond.

ACWR focuses on a range of global issues such as human rights, climate change, economic justice, gender equality, access to potable water, poverty alleviation and sustainable development. We believe these are essential pieces in building a better world for today's citizens and generations to come.

ACWR works towards achieving its goals by engaging with governments, international organizations and civil society partners around the world. We use our resources - research capabilities, educational programs and public campaigns - to promote understanding of the complex interconnectedness of global issues while empowering people with the knowledge they need to become agents of change in their own lives.

At ACWR we have several types of volunteer opportunities depending on your interests and skillset. These include project-specific tasks such as marketing campaigns or research projects that require specific expertise; as well as general support activities like administering workshops or helping out with events. All volunteers receive training prior starting their assignment which will prepare them for success!
