What does CPC mean in GOVERNMENTAL

CPC stands for Child Protection Council. It is a vital organization dedicated to providing support and resources to children who are vulnerable or who have been exposed to abuse or neglect. The Council works in partnership with public and private agencies, including state and local government, to ensure that all children are safe and protected.

The Child Protection Council provides many vital services for children in need. These include counseling, case management, crisis intervention, home visits, family support services, educational assistance, medical care coordination, advocacy training and more.

The Child Protection Council supports the prevention of all forms of abuse including physical abuse such as hitting or shaking; emotional abuse such as verbal threats or insults; neglect such as failing to provide necessary care; sexual abuse such as touching inappropriately; exploitation such as pressuring someone into doing something they don't want to do; cyberbullying; and abduction.

There are many ways you can get involved with the Child Protection Council. You may choose to become a volunteer in one of our programs or help spread awareness about child protection initiatives through our outreach program. You may also consider donating money or resources which will directly aid the cause.

The Child Protection Council serves all children from any background living in our community regardless of their immigration status. We also work with vulnerable populations who are at risk of being mistreated which includes African American/Black Children, Native American Children, LGBTQ+ Children and Foster Care Children among others.
