What does ACRB mean in HOSPITALS

The American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board (ACRB) is a non-profit, national certifying organization specifically designed to recognize and promote premier chiropractic practitioners in the field of rehabilitative care. It provides independent evaluation of doctors’ applied knowledge, clinical skills and performance within rehabilitative care through its certification program.

Prospective candidates must complete specific educational coursework and demonstrate core competency through evaluation methods such as comprehensive written examinations, oral examinations, practical examinations or case studies. Eligible chiropractors may also take advantage of ACRB’s continuing education seminars for recertification requirements.

Yes! In addition to the recognition that comes with an ACRB certification, board certified doctors can take advantage of quality resources such as Case Management tools, practice management improvement tips, coding assistance and much more.

Depending on the individual candidate's experience, post-doctoral training and study habits; it normally takes six months to one year to prepare for and pass all exams required for certification.

Any licensed doctor who has completed the necessary qualifications is eligible to apply for board certification from ACRB. There are three levels of diplomateship available depending on prior years of practice; Diplomate (DC), Fellow (FACRC) or Master Fellow (MFCR).

Candidates must meet certain eligibility criteria prior to applying including current licensure in good standing, completion of 500 hours postgraduate study in rehabilitation sciences or 300 hours formal academic study in rehabilitation sciences from a college or university accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education International or other approved institution. Additionally candidates must submit their resumes detailing relevant work experience along with three letters of recommendation from qualified sources attesting to their capability and competence.
