What does CHWC mean in COMMUNITY

CHWC stands for Community Health Worker Coalition. It is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization that works to improve access to quality healthcare in communities across the country.

CHWC's members include local health workers, organizations, and individuals who are committed to improving access to care for all people regardless of race, gender, income level or ability status.

Through its website and other forms of communication, CHWC provides resources such as educational materials, training modules, webinars and videos related to health topics including chronic disease management and mental health issues. The coalition also offers advocacy tools that help community-based groups address local policies affecting the health outcomes of their populations.

Currently, the Community Health Worker Coalition only focuses on providing support within the United States. However, it does collaborate with international partners through webinars and other forms of communication when possible.
