Cell Global Identity (CGI) is a unique identifier used to identify the location of a specific mobile phone and its associated network in a country or region. It is composed of several attributes, including two digits identifying the country code, three digits identifying the Mobile Network Code (MNC), and a further four to five digits identifying the cell handset's location area within the radio coverage area.

Mobile Network Code (MNC) is a two to three-digit number uniquely assigned to each mobile operator in a country or region. It identifies the mobile operator on which any particular handset's SIM card is connected to.
