Carolina for Kibera (CFK) is an non-profit organization based in the slum of Kibera in Nairobi, Kenya that builds collaborative and evolutive solutions to end poverty and injustice. CFK works with local residents to help create a more just, equitable, and sustainable future for the community.

CFK carries out its mission through four core values: respect, partnership, collaboration and innovation. They promote these values in all aspects of their work by upholding the principles of human rights, gender equality and social justice.

CFK offers a range of programs aimed at empowering youth, promoting health and wellness initiatives, supporting entrepreneurs, advancing education, providing access to clean water & sanitation services and advocating for responsible urban development.

Climate change has become a major challenge faced by various communities around world but especially across African countries where it presents an even greater threat due to limited resources available to combat it. For this reason CFK focuses on environmental projects such as planting trees within urban areas to reduce air pollution levels which have been proven effective methods for improving public health outcomes as well as mitigating climate impacts.
