What does CFIC mean in UNCLASSIFIED

The Coalition for Informed Choice (CFIC) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and advancing reproductive justice, health equity, and autonomy. Our work includes educating the public about evidence-based approaches to preventing unplanned pregnancy and reducing abortion access restrictions in order to expand reproductive freedom.

CFIC provides direct service support to individuals seeking reproductive healthcare; advocates for laws that protect the right to choose; educates the public on evidence-based prevention methods; and works with diverse communities on improving access to quality care.

Yes! While based in Washington D.C., CFIC operates nationally through federal advocacy efforts and collaborates with local partners on grassroots programming and activism. We are committed to making sure reproductive rights are respected everywhere in the United States no matter where you live!

Many states have laws that restrict abortion access or insurance coverage of contraception; those same states may also lack sufficient resources when it comes to providing prenatal services or sex ed initiatives that could help prevent unintended pregnancy in the first place. If you witness anyone being denied rights due to their location you should contact your state representatives immediately - they are responsible for creating laws that promote equity in access throughout their jurisdiction - or find an organization near you advocating for better resources in this area.
