What does CFDR mean in NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

The Campaign For Digital Rights (CFDR) is an initiative that seeks to increase public understanding, awareness and advocacy on the right to privacy online. It encourages engagement between citizens around the world to champion digital rights that enable us to pursue our fundamental freedoms, like freedom of expression and assembly, as guaranteed by international laws.

CFDR promotes digital rights through advocacy initiatives and campaigns, aimed at increasing public awareness about the importance of protecting individual’s right to privacy online. These initiatives focus on connecting individuals around the world in order to share their experiences and stories with a view to driving positive change.

CFDR organises various activities designed to increase public understanding and awareness of digital rights. This could include organising or participating in events such as webinars, workshops or hackathons; engaging with companies who may be infringing upon individuals’ right to privacy online; campaigning for legislative reforms; creating educational materials; providing free legal advice; or creating platforms for individuals around the world to voice their concerns about their right to privacy online.

Our volunteer program caters volunteers from all skill backgrounds - ranging from technical experts such as software developers/engineers, designers etc., non-technical roles like outreach specialists etc., policy experts & researchers - so we recommend having some experience but it is not compulsory for everyone!
