As part of our mission, CFCA provides a sound educational environment with an emphasis on character development as well as technical and tactical soccer instruction. By providing these resources, we aim to prepare our student-athletes for collegiate, semi-professional and professional level soccer opportunities.
What are the benefits of being part of CFCA?
There are many benefits to becoming a part of the CFCA program such as having access to high quality technical and tactical training sessions; a professional coaching staff who strive to help each player reach their goals both on and off the field; educational support from qualified teachers; nutrition advice; leadership classes; college preparation guidance and much more. All of these tools will help student-athletes to reach their potential while having fun playing the game they love.
Are there any age restrictions for joining CFCA?
Yes, players must fall within one of three different age groups – U8-U10, U11-U13 and U14+. Each player is expected to make their own decision about which age group best suits their needs and interest. All programs require players to be either 8 years old or above by March 15th of the respective program year in order to participate.
Can I join if I'm not from Chattanooga?
Yes! Although the academy serves primarily families that live in Chattanooga or its surroundings, we welcome players from other regions who seek professional soccer training opportunities at CFCA. It is important that you have reliable transportation when coming into town for practices or games if you are from out-of-town.
How long do trials last?
The length of trials can vary depending on the number of registrations received however they usually take place over two days within a weekend or two consecutive days during weekdays. During this period we expect prospective team members to demonstrate their skills both physically and mentally so they can be evaluated properly prior to signing up with us for the session’s program(s).
Do parents need to remain on site during practice/game time?
While we do not require parents stay at practice/game time, it is encouraged that they stay close nearby in case something arises requiring your attention while your child is participating in activities with us at Chattanooga Football Club Academy (CFC). This ensures that all attendees receive appropriate levels of care and supervision throughout each training session or match day event.
Are there any additional fees beyond tuition?
Tuition includes costs for uniform items (shorts & socks). In addition you may also choose to purchase your own cleats, shin guards, ball or other items as desired but these items are not mandatory as part of registration/enrollment with the CFC Academy Program(s).
Is there financial assistance available?
We understand that sometimes youth sports can be expensive so for those who qualify we offer partial scholarships through our generous sponsorships making participation with us possible even when money might otherwise be an obstacle.
