What does CETE mean in EDUCATIONAL

CETE stands for Consortium for Excellence in Teacher Education. It is an international organization comprised of educational institutions, school networks, foundations and other stakeholders who are committed to improving teacher education so teachers are better prepared to serve their students.

The goal of CETE is to create an environment where all members have a shared vision and understanding of what constitutes excellence in teacher education. To this end, CETE partners work together to develop new approaches, processes, and resources for teacher preparation that focus on equity, ethics, collaboration and instructional aptitude for teachers entering the profession.

CETE helps improve teacher education by connecting members through its multi-stakeholder Knowledge Exchange platform which hosts a range of resources, research reports, tools and discussions related to teaching innovation best practices. Additionally, they also offer professional development services such as workshops and conferences designed to facilitate collaboration across disciplines while strengthening teacher education programs at each institution or network involved.

Membership in CETE is open to any educational institution or school district interested in pursuing excellence in teacher education or career pathways initiatives associated with that mission. Additionally, it's open to organizations focused on developing high quality resources for teacher educators and administrators such as policy organizations or research centers (e.g., think tanks).
