What does CDFC mean in FUNDS

The Children's Defense Fund of Cincinnati advocates for the rights of children and their families in the Greater Cincinnati area. We provide resources, support services, and educational opportunities with a focus on child welfare and well-being.

Through our programs we provide food assistance, housing assistance, education support and other social services to disadvantaged families or individuals who may not otherwise have options or resources available to them. By providing these services we are able to increase access to basic needs while empowering those we help through advocacy initiatives.

There are many ways that you can become involved with the Children's Defense Fund of Cincinnati. You can donate money or materials such as clothing or school supplies; volunteer your time; join one of our committees or task forces; or participate in an event like a fundraiser or panel discussion. Every bit helps make the lives better for children in need!

Without organizations like the Children's Defense Fund of Cincinnati (CDFC), many children would be without essential resources such as healthcare, food security and educational opportunity that all people should have access too regardless of their circumstance. The work that CDFC does provides a necessary service often beyond what public services are able to provide given limited availability and funding constraints. As members of this community it is important we come together to ensure all our citizens especially our most vulnerable populations receive the care they need no matter what form it may take.

No! We provide programs focused on helping both adults and youth up until age 21—anyone may request our social services regardless of their age group or family status.
