What does CCC mean in COMMUNITY

The Center for Community Change (CCC) is a non-profit organization focused on organizing and mobilizing individuals in low-income communities to ensure they are heard in our nation’s economic, electoral, and social policy debates. CCC works to catalyze “change from the ground up” by equipping grassroots activists with the tools they need to become powerful agents of change in their own lives and communities.

CCC works towards its mission of creating positive social change by providing financial resources, trainings, technical assistance, and leadership development opportunities to grassroots organizations nationwide. These resources and programs help in areas such as workforce development, civic engagement, education reform, health care access, economic security, immigration reform and more.

CCC seeks to secure fair treatment for immigrant families who come to America seeking a better life. We work in coalition with allies across movements to advocate for policies that provide safety from deportation and exploitation as well as pathways to citizenship. In addition, we support direct service providers who help immigrants with legal cases or applications for temporary protection status such as DACA recipients.

Our advocacy efforts are focused on ensuring elected officials hear the voices of low-income individuals and communities when making policy decisions that affect them. We strive to create a more equitable society through our campaigns which focus on preserving civil rights protections; increasing access to employment opportunities; protecting healthcare coverage; obtaining quality public services; defending immigrant rights; expanding voting rights; advancing restorative justice initiatives; improving school systems; promoting affordable housing; and strengthening worker protections.

On our website you can find a variety of online resources such as fact sheets on various topics related to our work, trainings for grassroots activists, blogs or news updates about current events relevant to our mission, job postings for positions within the organization or at partner organizations around the country. Additionally we have publications available covering topics such as “Youth Organizing 101” or “Organizing For Low Wage Workers”.

There are lots of ways you can get involved with us! First off you can volunteer your time either locally at a community event through one of our member organizations or remotely by sharing your expertise through webinars or writing blog posts about issues related to our mission. Additionally you can donate money directly which will go towards supporting staff salaries & programs that help empower low-income individuals & communities nationwide.

Yes we offer paid internships during spring/summer/fall semesters in multiple departments including Communications & Policy Advocacy as well as Development & Operations.
